The temple contains, a statue of Phakpa Chuchi-Zhe (eleven faced Avalokitesvara the god of compassion) as well as other statues. It provides a unique place for all devotees to concentrate on the accumulation of merit and cleansing one’s own negative actions through the practice of Religious fasting (Nyung-nay).
Eight sets of Nyung-nay Karp (vegetarian fasting cycles) are conducted annually and until now, fourteen such events have been organised under the patronage of His Holiness Kathok Situ Rinpoche.
