Kathok Yosel Samtenling Monastery’s Incense Factory is one of the leading and only Monastery based entrepreneurship incense manufacturing factory in Bhutan. The factory was initiated with the generous funding support of 0.5 million from the Loden Foundation six years an ago.
The factory is strategically located 5 kilometers from the Chouzom and on the way to Beylangdra and Kathok Yosel Samtenling Monastery. The incense factory has benefited the communities and devotees. The products are hand-made with expert craftsmanship and funnel dipped tubes and of various incense shapes and powders blended with more than 20 different finest traditional local and imported ingredients/recipe from India. This has ensured the best formulation and superior quality of the incense.
Today, the incense produced at Beylangdra has high demand within Bhutan, it serves the retailers and wholesalers with regular on-time delivery of product and also has international demand. The factory is thinking to expand its reach in the future.
Due to good quality in product, the factory hopes to reap the best benefit and the products has reasonable pricing policy which is affordable. Today, the factory has 12 employees who are school dropout from the community and others places.
