To all residing at the monastic residence of H.H. Dudjom led by Mayum, family, attendants, disciples and faithful devotees, I offer this condolence letter with great sympathy and grief.
Lately, I was deeply saddened by hearing of the sudden passing of H.H. Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche. Just by hearing the news all of sudden, it was unbearably painful.
I could not believe it as a dream or real. However, I and others, who are left behind are helpless and could not do anything than fervently supplicate together in one prayer.
Generally, the learned and accomplished, great knowledge-holder like him (Yangsi Rimpoche) had magnificently nurtured, protected and propagated the Buddhadharma, in particular the teachings of earlier translations, Nyingma tradition.
Moreover, having desired with full hope to live and benefit Dharma and all beings throughout the future, today, needless to speak, it is an intense loss and grief.
Nonetheless, such temporary passing is nothing other than the means and method to display in training the fortunate beings. This being so, all of us; me and others, disciples, clergy and laity, whereby, in order to perfectly fulfill the undefiled wish and intent of Yangsi Rimpoche, the Protector of Dharma, as requested by the Monastic Body of Dudjom, all to diligently exert the virtuous activities and practice Guru Yoga and ritual for the veneration of the tantric preceptor (guru) and others.
Having vowed with bodhisattva aspiration to benefit all beings without delay by the compassionate one, hence, to benefit the dharma and all beings, I fervently, in one-pointed devotion pray for the swift and authentic emanation of Yangsi like the rising of a new full moon.
With heartiest affection and deep condolence to Mayum, family, disciples, attendants and devotees around the globe.
